Namaste, Welcome to my website mindful slow flow YOGA with Linda Allam.

I am a Senior Hatha Yoga Teacher, based in West Cumbria, UK,

with a wealth of experience and knowledge including 30+ years of teaching Yoga to groups & individuals.

I initially qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga and the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Tradition and

I have been practising & teaching ever since!

I focus on Therapeutic styles of Yoga for healing Body-Heart-Mind-Soul (see below).

I have studied many modalities of Energy Healing and as a Qualified Homeopath LICH

(since 1995) I practice using all my skills in a holistic way.

I aim to offer an environment that is nourishing, nurturing, mindful & peaceful.

Sharing practices that encourage a pathway of self discovery & healing to enhance our sense of wellbeing, to Awaken Body-Heart-Mind.

I incorporate many styles of yoga to achieve that and follow a seasonal theme

(5 Elements & Ayurveda) to help balance the energies of the season - so we go with the flow of nature to enhance our own nature and wellbeing.

In a typical class, we may include practices of Centering & Grounding, Conscious Breath-work,

Classic Hatha yoga postures, Energy Medicine Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Therapeutic Viniyoga, Somatic Yoga, Qigong Energy Flows, Guided Relaxations, iRest, Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness & Meditation - all of which I practice myself.

The slow flow pace is meditative, emphasizing a peaceful and calming approach to release tensions and bring calm & ease to body-mind as we tone down the stress-response.  We may hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, instead of moving quickly with each breath; the transitions between postures are a little slower to encourage a mindful presence.

I encourage exploration to connect with the body in a deeper way and this is accessed through a mindful approach to body and breath connection.  Finally, we come to rest, a time & space of letting go of remaining tensions of body-heart-mind, to arrive at a place of surrender into stillness, calm, ease, presence - a place of just Being.

Everyone is welcome to join my mindful slow flow Yoga sessions where you can give yourself permission to slow down and go with the flow - be kind to yourself to connect to yourself.

This style is good for beginners & more experienced practitioners alike who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice and connecting to a more mindful inner presence.

So if you are looking for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, with practices that work on your whole being, body-heart-mind-soul, you are invited to come and join us for Face-to-Face Classes

or on Zoom.

Please take a look through the website, contact me by email or telephone me for a chat.

"Firstly, we want to thank you for your commitment to yoga and for offering the zoom classes in what is sometimes a technically difficult situation.  We so enjoyed the classes this week, and the benefit to our wellbeing is palpable after every session.   We really like your style of teaching so we’re definitely up for more"

"For anyone who has ever thought about doing Yoga and were afraid to ‘step out of their comfort zone’, I strongly recommend Linda’s classes. She is a great teacher and runs fantastic classes, welcoming all levels of ability. So, go on ‘take the step’, your body and mind will thank you!"

"Your type of yoga feels like a good mix. Paying attention and trying to be precise and do the movement justice, strength, balance, flow, held poses, relaxation. It is a suitable way to care for my body and mind next to the running and tennis and kayaking and walking and cycling etc. I like the link with the seasons. I am no expert on yoga styles, but have tried 2 other classes in the past few years and your class suits me best, and I trust you the most"

"Linda's classes are wonderful, she is an accomplished practitioner with plenty of patience and offers us easier

variation for those of us who struggle!

I like the holistic approach, reminding us we're aiming to align our body-heart-mind. Every class is different, Linda designs the programme to reflect the energies of the season and to build on our abilities from week to week."

"Linda changes her class content on a seasonally and monthly basis. The classes are friendly and totally non-competitive, everyone feels comfortable at their own level.   Her breathing and relaxation practice settles the mind and you always feel so much better after her class.

Highly Recommend!"

"Many thanks for allowing me to join your classes they are a god send🙏 not only has my aches and pains gone my running is alot smoother and my mental resilience has vastly improved so thank you so much"

"just wanted to send a note of thanks for tonights yoga Linda.  I've had a bad day or so, and your class (is that the right term)? tonight was amazing - your tone, clarity & calmness in front of the largest group I've been in, was beautiful - thank you"

"Linda is a fantastic yoga teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable about what she teaches.

It's the best part of my week, I always feel like my body has worked out and improved yet feeling very relaxed. Linda has a blog which gives more information about what is being taught in the session. I would highly recommend anyone to give it a go"
