Welcome to the website of Linda Allam - Senior Hatha Yoga Teacher, based in West Cumbria, UK

Linda has a wealth of experience and knowledge with over 30 years of teaching experience

Qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga, Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Tradition, Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs, and is a Mindfulness Facilitator

Linda has over 25 years experience as a Qualified Homeopath LICH

I offer a style of Yoga that is mindful, gentle & nurturing - encouraging a healing pathway to balance our system.  I incorporate several styles of yoga and follow a seasonal theme to help balance the energies of the season so we go with the flow of nature to enhance our own nature and wellbeing.

In a typical class, we may possibly include practices of Centering & Grounding, Breathwork,

Classic Hatha yoga postures, Energy Medicine Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative, Therapeutic Viniyoga, Somatics, Qigong Energy Flows, Guided Relaxations, iRest, Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness & Meditation -

all of which I practice myself.

The Slow Flow pace is meditative, emphasizing a peaceful and calming approach to bring calm & ease to body and mind. We may hold poses longer, taking several rounds of breath in each pose, instead of moving quickly with each breath; the transitions between postures are a little slower to encourage a mindful presence.  

I encourage exploration to connect with the body in a deeper way and this is accessed through a mindful approach to body and connection with breath.  Finally, we come to rest, a time & space of letting go remaining tensions of body & mind, to arrive at a place of surrender into stillness & ease, a place of just Being.


Everyone is welcome to join my Mindful Yoga sessions where you can give yourself permission to slow down and go with the flow to find yourself.  This style is good for beginners & more experienced practitioners who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice and brining a more mindful presence.

So if you are looking for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, with practices that work on your whole Being, body-heart-mind, you are invited to come and join us for Face-to-Face Classes or on Zoom.
